INCI: Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil

Baobab Seed Oil (Cold Pressed)
Typically a golden-yellow colour, though it can vary slightly depending on the specific batch. The oil is light to medium in texture, absorbing relatively quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy residue with a mild, nutty aroma, which is subtle and not overpowering.
Baobab seed oil is rich in several essential fatty acids, which contribute to its moisturising and skin-nourishing properties. The typical fatty acid profile is as follows:
•    Oleic Acid (Omega-9): ~30-42%
•    Linoleic Acid (Omega-6): ~24-34%
•    Palmitic Acid: ~18-30%
•    Stearic Acid: ~2-9%
•    Alpha-Linolenic Acid (Omega-3): ~1-3%
Obtained through the cold-pressing method, a mechanical extraction process that does not involve heat or chemicals. The seeds are harvested from the fruit of the baobab tree, each fruit contains numerous seeds extracted after the fruit is dried and cracked open. The seeds are then cleaned to remove any residual pulp or debris and mechanically pressed at low temperatures to extract the oil. This method ensures that the oil retains its nutrients, such as vitamins A, D, E, and F, and its antioxidant properties. After pressing, the oil is filtered to remove any remaining seed particles, resulting in a clear, pure oil.

Baobab seed oil is prized for its excellent emollient and antioxidant properties, making it a popular ingredient in skincare and cosmetic products.
