Candelilla Wax

Plant derived wax suitable for use wherever you would typically find beeswax.  Candelilla has additional properties, bringing shine and hardness to a formulation. Derived from the leaves of the Candelilla shrub (Euphorbia cerifera), and native to Mexico and the southwestern United States it is commonly used in skin care, bath and body formulations with a range of benefits.

Candelilla wax has emollient properties, which means it helps to soften and moisturize the skin. In  lotions, creams, and balms, candelilla wax contributes to a smooth, creamy texture that glides easily onto the skin.  It forms a protective barrier on the skin, helping to lock in moisture and prevent dehydration. This makes it beneficial in products designed to protect dry skin, such as lip balms, salves, and cuticle creams.
