Refined raspberry seed oil is a lightweight, non-greasy oil highly valued in cosmetics for its moisturising and protective properties. It has a well-balanced fatty acid profile, with approximately 50-55% linoleic acid (Omega-6), 28-33% alpha-linolenic acid (Omega-3), 10-15% oleic acid (Omega-9), and smaller amounts of palmitic and stearic acids. This composition makes it ideal for hydrating and nourishing the skin, especially in facial serums, lotions, and creams. It scores 0 on the comedogenic scale meaning that it is not likely to clog pores and is ideally suited to those with oily skin.
The oil is rich in antioxidants like Vitamin E (particularly gamma-tocopherol) and carotenoids, which help protect the skin from oxidative stress and support skin health.
